KUALA LUMPUR, 09 January 2025 – Parenthood Records has officially recognised GODZILLA STORE Malaysia as Malaysia’s First Interactive Godzilla Experience Retail Store, marking a milestone for family-focused retail and experiential destinations in the country.
The recognition was presented in conjunction with the store’s official opening at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, celebrating the arrival of the iconic Japanese pop culture franchise in a fully immersive retail format designed for fans of all ages.

Parenthood Records, an initiative under Parenthood Media, documents and honours meaningful firsts and standout achievements that enrich family life, childhood experiences, and multigenerational engagement in Malaysia. The Godzilla Store recognition reflects the growing importance of experiential retail spaces that encourage shared discovery between parents, children, and fans across generations.
The record was formally presented by Teresa Chin, Founder of Parenthood Records, acknowledging the store’s role in redefining themed retail as an interactive, family-friendly destination rather than a conventional merchandise outlet.

Malaysia’s First Fully Immersive Godzilla Retail Concept
GODZILLA STORE Malaysia is designed as a fully immersive destination, featuring themed interiors, neon accents, curated photo spots, and a wide range of officially licensed Godzilla merchandise. The space also functions as a community hub, with planned in-store activities that encourage shared family experiences, a key factor in Parenthood Records’ decision to confer the title.
Anchoring the experience is a striking two-metre-tall Godzilla statue at the store entrance, created exclusively for this location. The design first appeared in the 70th Anniversary commemorative video, “70 Years of Godzilla: A New Roar in Southeast Asia,” produced by Igloo Studios and released in May 2025. Making its first physical appearance worldwide, the statue sets the tone for an immersive visit from the moment guests arrive.

A Landmark Collaboration Bringing Godzilla to Malaysian Families
The store is operated by M&M Creations Holdings in collaboration with TOHO Co., Ltd. and Toho Entertainment Asia, making it the second overseas Godzilla Store after Taipei.
Its opening signals a broader expansion of the Godzilla brand in Southeast Asia, while offering Malaysian families access to officially licensed merchandise, exclusive collectables, and a retail environment that blends storytelling with hands-on engagement.
